Doha, Qatar: The National Data Privacy Office at the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) announced that it has issued Binding Decision No. (3) of 2025 against one of the companies operating in the sports sector in the State of Qatar.

The decision came following a personal data breach incident identified by the agency’s specialised teams.

NCSA said that investigations confirmed that the company violated Articles (8)(3), (13), and (14) of the Personal Data Privacy Protection Law, due to inadequate technical, administrative, and physical measures to protect personal data.

Accordingly, the company has been instructed to review and update its current administrative, technical, and physical measures, ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data it processes, and strengthen its systems to ensure the protection of personal data privacy and full compliance with the provisions of the law.
