Doha: Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs announced the beginning of the implementation of summer working hours, limiting the number of hours performed under the sun from June 1 to September 15.
The ministry on its social media reminds of Ministerial decision No. (17) for the year 2021 that stipulates limiting working hours, prohibiting work from 10am to 3:30pm.
This decision was approved and announced by the Cabinet following its meeting on May 21.

The aim of this decision is to protect the workers from the dangers of heat stress.
The Ministry emphasized that the employer should set a schedule for determining the daily working hours in accordance with the provisions of this decision, and place this schedule in a visible place to make it easy for all workers to view it, and labor inspectors will observe it upon their inspection visits.
