Weather bureau warns strong wind and high sea offshore; chance of light rain in some areas

Doha: Weather inshore tonight until 6 a.m. on Tuesday will be slightly dusty and partly cloudy at times with chance of light rain at some areas, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report.

Offshore, it will be partly cloudy to cloudy at times and hazy later, the report added.

Wind inshore will be northeasterly to northwesterly at a speed of 5 to 10 or 15 knots becoming variable later. Offshore, it will be northwesterly to northeasterly at a speed of 10 to 20 knots reaching 25 knots at places at first, decreasing 6 to 16 knot by night.

Visibility will be 4 to 8 kilometers.

Sea state inshore will be 1 to 3 feet surging to 4 feet at places at first. Offshore, it will be 4 to 6 feet surging to 7 feet at places at first, falling to 2-4 feet by night.
