Doha, Qatar: The General Tax Authority has unveiled the Tax Warehouse Service to support the country’s business environment, improve companies’ cash flow, and simplify refund processes.
In a social media announcement on Wednesday, the Authority stated that the service enables taxpayers to produce and store excise goods under a tax suspension arrangement. This allows tax payments to be deferred until the goods are released to the local market.
The Authority added that the service will enhance cash flow efficiency and reduce administrative burdens.
"The service comes as part of ongoing efforts to develop the tax system and support the business environment and investment growth with flexibility and stability," it said in a statement.
