Famed jockey Soufiane Saadi on Thursday guided the Alban Elie De Mieulle-trained Matawar (QA) to victory in the feature race of the 46th Race Meeting - Al Britha Cup. Matawar won the QR100,000 Local Thoroughbred Graduation Plate (3yo only) as De Mieulle completed a hat-trick following wins in the Local Purebred Arabian Maiden Plate (Hadji (QA)/Adnan Hawa) and Purebred Arabian Novice Plate (Hazal (FR)/Saadi) at Al Rayyan Racecource. War Effort (IRE), trained by Hamad Al Jehani and ridden by Arnaud De Lepine, won the Thoroughbred Handicap 0-70 before the Thoroughbred Handicap 60-80 (Class 4) win was secured by Abdulla Rashid Al Hajri-ridden Geno (IRE) - trained by Owaida Salem Al Hajri.
The victory in the Thoroughbred Handicap 0-90 (Class 3) was sealed by Zuhair Mohsen-trained Inherent (GB) who had Ronan Thomas in the saddle. Ateej (US) - trained by Gassim Ghazali won the Purebred Arabian Handicap 80-100 with jockey Anas Al Seyabi. PIC: Juhaim/QREC
