al khaliji employees honoured at annual staff event

Doha: Al Khalij Commercial Bank (al khaliji), Qatar’s next generation bank, recognised select employees for their outstanding work as part of its annual staff gathering in Doha held recently at The Ritz-Carlton Doha. 

The event was led by al khaliji Group Chairman and Managing Director Sheikh Hamad bin Faisal bin Thani Al Thani, together with    and senior management, and honored employees with gifts and certificates of recognition for completing over 10 years of service, as well as for their loyalty towards the bank and its customers. In addition, outstanding performances of several employees in 2019 were recognized. 

Welcoming the staff gathering, Chairman and Managing Director, Sheikh Hamad bin Faisal bin Thani Al-Thani, said: “We stand here today to celebrate your hard-work and our accomplishments in 2019, which was a milestone year for al khaliji. We registered an increase of +6 percent over 2018 and moved to our flagship new headquarter, al khaliji Tower, in Lusail City. These tremendous achievements were possible due to your commitment to keep bringing the next generation of banking in Qatar.” 

Fahad Al-Khalifa said: “The banking world is a people business, which requires us to have the best people in place to represent the company and deliver the best customer service. It is important for our employees to know we recognize their tireless efforts. We would not be where we are today without them.” 

The gathering commemorated the numerous milestones al khaliji achieved in 2019; including the inauguration of the Bank’s new headquarter in Lusail City, called al khaliji Tower.

The annual staff gathering is also an auspicious occasion to celebrate al khaliji’s recent awards, the most recent of which included ‘Best Premium Bank’ Award at the New Age Banking Summit 2020 and ‘Best Partner Bank’ Award by Qatar Development Bank.
