H H the Amir shared via his official X account that deliberations in Berlin with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Chancellor Olaf Scholz tackled common aspirations to boost and expand bilateral cooperation across political, economic and commercial fields, which both sides are keen to continuously develop through joint efforts, strategic partnerships and mutual investments at the bilateral and multilateral levels, in a way that achieves the interests of the two countries and prosperity for the two friendly peoples.
During the official talks session at the Meseberg Palace in Brandenburg H H the Amir and H E the Chancellor of Germany discussed the existing relations between the two countries and ways to develop them across various fields. The session also addressed developments in regional and international issues of common interest, mainly the developments in the Gaza Strip, the occupied Palestinian territories, and Lebanon, and the need to intensify efforts to reduce escalation in the Middle East and reach a ceasefire.
Qatar has successfully forged a robust and strategic partnership with Germany, becoming a key ally in the region. The partnership stretches back over 65 years in trade, with formal diplomatic relations established in 1973.
