Qatar Airways continues to take steps and measures that show that the multiple award-winning airline continues to grow stronger despite challenging environment created by the COVID-19 pandemic. At the time when airlines around the world are struggling to continue their operations, Qatar Airways continues to take customercentric measures and achieve new milestones.

The airline yesterday said that has finalised a codeshare agreement with Air Canada applicable for travel between Doha and Toronto. The agreement reinforces Qatar Airways’ long-term commitment to Canadian passengers, and to boosting Canada’s global connectivity to support the recovery of tourism and trade. Qatar Airways is one of the few airlines to have continuously flown throughout the pandemic to take passengers home safely and reliably.

With more than 700 weekly frequencies currently, it plans to increase its network to more than 125 destinations by the end of 2020. Since the onset of the pandemic, Qatar Airways has flown over 175 million kilometres taking home over 2.3 million passengers on over 37,000 flights.

The airline has also operated more than 400 charter flights across the world enabling it to stay up to date with the latest airport and national health procedures and maintain a finger on the pulse of global passenger flows, in particular in markets where it does not operate regular scheduled flights. Earlier this week, Qatar Airways had launched a global programme ‘Student Club’ exclusive to students worldwide.

Student Club is powered by the airline’s loyalty programme, Qatar Airways Privilege Club, and offers a range of benefits curated for students to support them throughout their educational journey. Members of Student Club will enjoy great savings and bespoke benefits such as special fares on flights, extra baggage allowances, the flexibility to change the dates of their flight, complimentary Super Wi-Fi onboard, and more. They will also be automatically enrolled to Qatar Airways Privilege Club.

The airline has also taken several measures for safety of passengers. Qatar Airways’ onboard safety measures for passengers and cabin crew include the provision of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for cabin crew and a complimentary protective kit and disposable face shields for passengers. Environmentally conscious passengers can travel with the reassurance that Qatar Airways continuously monitors the market to assess both passenger and cargo demand to ensure it operates the most efficient aircraft on each route.

The airline’s achievements are a proof that Qatar Airways will always provide its passengers with the very best onboard experience every time they travel with it.
