Lusail International Circuit is preparing to host blockbuster Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2023 as Formula 1 is set to return at the iconic venue next month after a one-year gap. Apart from other preparations to host an exceptional event, the LIC has planned a series of activations across the country as well as in Saudi Arabia to help fans learn more about the sport.

LIC yesterday announced to hold a series of activations in popular shopping malls which will attract both adults and children. In Qatar, Villagio, Place Vendome, Doha Festival City and Mall of Qatar will host the immersive activities as part of these activations. The Roadshow will give fans a chance to take part in exciting activities around Formula 1. Kingdom Center in Riyadh, and Dammam’s Nakheel Mall and Dhahran Mall are venues for activations in Saudi Arabia.

The features of these activations include a Formula 1 car replica that visitors can view and capture memorable photographs with. A replica will also be installed in all locations except Villagio and Saudi Arabia. Additionally, fans will also witness the Hall of Fame with interactive displays enabling visitors to learn about their favourite F1 drivers, the upcoming race in Qatar and discover interesting facts about the Lusail International Circuit.

Besides, visitors will also experience Formula 1 simulators (in Qatar) and an engaging activity called “Strike a Pose” where fans can try out a new filter featuring Formula 1 drivers and participate in a social media competition for a chance to win F1 race ticket among other engagements.

The Formula 1 Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix will be held from October 6 to 8 at the redesigned Lusail International Circuit. The current remodeling of the venue is also set to increase the capacity of the grandstands and car parking lots. The renovated venue is expected to be extraordinary with Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) promising unique experience for all those involved including drivers and spectators.

The inaugural Qatar GP was held in 2021 as part of an 11-race hosting deal between the QMMF and Formula 1. After a year’s break due to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the spectacle will resume next month and will take place for the next 10 years until 2032.

The state-of-the-art circuit will also be home to the 2023 MotoGP Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Qatar to be held from November 17 to 19. The venue will also make its FIA World Endurance Championship debut in March 2024 with Qatar set to host the popular race until 2029 making the Lusail International Circuit a global hub for motorsports activities.
