DOHA: Nour Majbour, a research associate at Qatar Biomedical Research Institute (QBRI), part of Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), is one of seven innovators currently competing in Season 10 of Stars of Science.
Majbour has developed a blood-based diagnostic kit that can be used by practitioners to provide an early detection of Parkinson’s disease.

She believes her invention can revolutionize the medical field, and will benefit humanity as a sought-after and much-needed diagnostic tool. As a prime time TV show candidate, Majbour has received extensive support from QBRI and HBKU. If ultimately named among the four finalists, she will receive a share of $600,000 in seed funding to support her in her goal of bringing her innovative healthcare solution to market.

As the number one science-based Arabic reality TV show, Stars of Science has a strong track record of empowering pan-Arab innovators and problem solvers. The show equips innovators with the knowledge and skills to become the entrepreneurs, researchers, scientists, and leaders of their generation.
