Doha: The Qatar Financial Centre Authority said yesterday that it has won the Global Investor/ISF magazine “Best Financial Centre in the Middle East” award. Global Investor/ISF is a flagship publication of Euromoney Institutional Investor, a leading business publisher. Global Investor/ISF is highly regarded in the global asset management community as a prestigious publication giving authoritative coverage of the top players in the industry internationally.
Shashank Srivastava, CEO and Board Member, QFC Authority, said: “This award of Best Financial Centre in the Middle East for 2013 is an honour for Qatar. It is further recognition in the financial community of the progress Qatar has made in developing its financial sector and offering best practice support to financial firms operating within Qatar as well as regionally and internationally.”
