Doha: Qatar Chemical and Petrochemical Marketing and Distribution Company (Muntajat), Qatar Petrochemical Company (Qapco) and Qatofin Company Limited participated at the world’s premier trade fair for plastic and rubber, K Trade Fair (K 2013). The companies joined forces to showcase Qat ar’s polymer products to customers and industry influencers from around the world during the fair, held in Dusseldorf, Germany.
K Trade Fair is regarded as the world’s largest international plastic and rubber fair; this 40 year old event is one of the oldest and most universal gatherings for industry players in the whole world. K Trade Fair takes place once every three years and brings together more than 3,000 exhibitors from over 50 countries and 222,000 delegates from all over the world. The fair is attended by leading raw material producers, processing companies and machinery manufacturers. This year’s fair had 19 exhibition halls covering over 170,000 square meters area.
K 2013 presented an excellent opportunity for Muntajat to showcase and promote the high-quality polymer products produced in the State of Qatar by Qapco and Qatofin.
The collaboration between Muntajat, Qapco and Qatofin follows a similar joint exhibit at Asia’s leading plastics and rubber trade fair, ChinaPlas, back in May, 2013.
Commenting from Muntajat’s stand at K 2013, Muntajat’s CEO Abdulrahman Ali Al Abdulla said: “It was a pleasure to re-join with Qapco and Qatofin for this important exhibition for the global plastics industry. This participation provided us with the opportunity to reinforce confidence among our international customers following the seamless transition of LDPE and LLDPE produced by Qapco and Qatofin in July of this year, and introduce the value proposition of Qatar’s chemical, polymer and fertiliser products to international customers.”
Muntajat’s participation in the fair in Germany comes after the recent establishment of Muntajat’s marketing headquarters in The Hague, The Netherlands in Europe, one of Muntajat’s focus markets.
