DOHA: Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) has completed preparations to provide the meat of sacrificial animals during Eid Al Adha to poor people in 62 countries worldwide. Priority is being given to the most deserving countries suffering from conflicts and natural disasters. The move aims to bring a smile on the faces of the people of these countries on the occasion of Islamic festival of Eid Al Adha.
Meat of goat, sheep and camels and beef will be distributed to the beneficiaries in 25 African, 31 Asian and six European countries.
Philanthropists can make contributions through donation collection centres set up by RAF throughout the country, especially in major shopping complexes, during Eid Al Adha.
The exact amount of contribution to be made will be given by collectors at the centres. A detailed report about the prices of sacrificial animals in each country was published in the local media. Prices of sacrificial animals vary in each country. And people have the option to select the country they want.
