IPRA launches special award to recognise individuals’ role in humanitarian benefit

Doha: International Public Relations Association (IPRA) has announced the institution of a special award for an individual to recognise his/her outstanding contributions to the free flow of information as a major factor in  humanitarian benefit.
The award marks celebration of 60th anniversary if IPRA.
Jassim Fakhroo, Member of the IPRA Board, and Representative of Asia and Middle East in IPRA, said that nominations for this exceptional award will are open. The award will be presented in Johannesburg during the IPRA 60th anniversary World Congress from September   27 to 29.
Nominations are invited from IPRA members for the award. 
The association is looking for a high-profile person, with global recognition, and a known track record. 
The person can be a politician, an entrepreneur, a social activist, a scientist, an artist or the leader of a corporation who has used communication and information in some way for humanitarian benefit. 
The nominee must ideally be able to receive the IPRA 60th anniversary global merit award in Johannesburg personally. 
“The participation conditions constitute accessing IPRA’s website, filling the form, writing the name and email and a 25-word summary of the nominee’s outstanding contributions,” Fakhroo added.
