Doha: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has announced the recall of Ikea safety gates of Al Futtaim-Ikea company due to lack of stability of the door on the top of the stairs.
The ministry said the recall is part of ongoing coordination and follow-up to ascertain the extent of dealers’ commitment to follow up defects and repair them to protect consumers’ rights.
The ministry stressed that it will coordinate with dealers to follow up maintenance and repairs and communicate with customers to ensure implementation of procedures to fix defects.
It urged consumers to report any abuse or irregularities to the Department of Consumer Protection and Commercial Fraud Combat which receive complaints, suggestions and inquiries through its various channels.
