Doha: Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani sent a cable of congratulations to King Mohammed VI of Morocco on the anniversary of his accession to the throne.
Deputy Emir H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani also sent a congratulatory cable to King Mohammed VI.
Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani sent a similar cable to King Mohammed VI.
Male: Qatar’s Non-resident Ambassador to Maldives Rashid bin Shafie Al Marri participated in celebrations marking the golden jubilee of the country’s independence.
He conveyed the Emir’s greetings to President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Qayoum and his wishes of further progress and prosperity to the people of the Maldives. Qayoum entrusted Al Marri with his greetings to the Emir and wishes of further prosperity and welfare to the Qatari people. On the sidelines, Al Marri met Minister of Foreign Affairs Dunya Maumoon, Minister of Economic Development Mohamed Saeed, Minister of Fisheries and Agriculture Dr Mohamed Shainee and Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr Ahmed Ziyad.
DOHA: Health monitors of municipalities have conducted raids on several outlets and registered violations. They also temporarily shut down a food outlet for storing food in unhygienic conditions.
The Health Monitoring Section at Al Rayyan Municipality conducted intensive monitoring of beauty salons and registered 13 violations, an Arabic daily reported yesterday. However, the nature of violations could not be immediately ascertained.
The Administrative Section of Doha Municipality has shut down a food outlet in Al Saad for 45 days and referred the case to legal entities for further action. Inspectors noticed employees storing food in the corridor in an area undergoing maintenance work. The area had no facility to store food for human consumption, civic officials said.
