France probes Credit Suisse for helping with tax fraud: prosecutors

Paris: French prosecutors said Friday they had opened an investigation into Swiss banking giant Credit Suisse for helping clients commit tax fraud.

The bank is suspected of allowing several thousands of French clients to open bank accounts in Switzerland that were not declared to the French taxman, they said.
