Doha: Speaker of the Shura Council H E Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim met separately yesterday with President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) H E Duarte Pacheco and President of the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament H E Senator Silvia del Rosario Giacoppo, on the sidelines of the inauguration of the third Counter-Terrorism Coordination Meeting and Policy Dialogue on Border Security in Doha.
They discussed efforts for counter-terrorism and coordination mechanism in this field and Shura Council’s support for these efforts. They also discussed relations and parliamentary cooperation between the Shura Council, IPU, and the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament and ways to strengthen them.
