QMMF to stage Enduro races at Sealine Resort

DOHA: The second round of Qatar International Enduro - to be organised by Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) - will take place tomorrow at the hugely popular Sealine Beach Resort. 

Each round will be composed of two off-road races of 30 minutes each race, officials said. 

Motorcycles and quads will run together with the quads starting 2 minutes and 30 seconds after the motorcycles take off.

Administrative checks and scrutineering is set for today at QMMF headquarters. Documentation will be held from 2.00pm to 7.00pm and scrutineering from 5.00pm to 8.00pm,

Tomorrow, the activity at Sealine Beach Resort starts at 7.45am with one hour of free practice. The first race is scheduled at 10.00am and the second race of the day is at 12.45pm. 

In the E1 category, Abdulla Al Shatti from Kuwait is leading with 50 points. 

Three riders are equal with 40 points in the second position: Mubarak Al Ali, Tariq Al Hattab and Barrack Al Jasmi. 

Kuwaiti rider Moaath Al Ansari and Mohammad Al Balooshi from the UAE are leading the E2 category with 47 points both of them. 

Ali Al Kubaisi with 40 points is in third place.

In the quads, the leader is Obaid Al Kitibe from the UAE while Qatar’s Mohammed Abu Issa is second with 44 points. In third place is Abdulla Nasser Al Ali from the UAE.

Tomorrow, there will be another round of T3 Challenge, the championship for off-road buggy vehicles, similar to the National Sprint. 

Each buggy starts individually at one-minute intervals completing one round of the enduro course. Qatari driver Hamad Al Ali is leading the QMMF T3 Challege with 25 points. 

Khalid Al Mohannadi is second with 18 points and Abdulaziz Al Sada is third with 15 points.
