Doha: Deputy Emir H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani toured Hamad bin Khalifa Medical City and inspected its new hospitals and health facilities. During the tour, the Deputy Emir was introduced to the City’s various facilities and services.
The Deputy Emir was accompanied during the tour by Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani.
The Deputy Emir toured Women’s Wellness and Research Center, Medical Care Building, emergency building, Hamad General Hospital, Qatar Rehabilitation Institute and the state-of the-art operating rooms, along with other installations, facilities and research centres.
The Deputy Emir listened to a detailed explanation presented by Minister for Public Health H E Dr Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari on the operating system and technical and operational mechanisms in the City. The City is one of Qatar’s key healthcare projects and stretches over a build-up area of 227,000 m2. It aims at providing a world-class health care.
