DOHA: Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) has upgraded its mobile application for better efficiency.
Several new services have been added to the new version of the application. For example, subscribers can send the reading of their meters for electricity and water through the app, along with a picture of the meter. The app will provide the accurate monthly reading of the meters with the date of the reading.

Kahramaa has urged subscribers to register and update their data through its website km.qa. or the mobile application for online transactions to avail of many services being given to customers.

The subscribers can also avail of the text messaging service launched by Kahramaa which will notify them — citizens and expatriates alike — about their monthly consumption of electricity and water, with remarks on average consumption for the purpose of energy efficiency.
Kahramaa has drawn up a plan to make all its services ‘smart’ to improve the quality of services and efficiency. The move aims to save time, and will enable customers to make online transactions round-the-clock from all over the world. They are no more required to visit the headquarters of Kahramaa or its branches in the country, said a press release.
