Doha: Qatar Red Crescent (QRC) has participated in the seventh annual training course in international humanitarian law under the theme ‘International humanitarian law and world peace’.
The three-day course was held in Riyadh, in cooperation with Arab Organisation of Red Crescent and Red Cross (ARCO), under the auspices of Saudi Red Crescent Authority President Prince Faisal bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.
In a statement yesterday, QRC said the course covered topics related to international humanitarian law and Islamic jurisprudence, such as the role played by international humanitarian movement in disseminating world peace values, international humanitarian law, peace support operations, the UN Security Council, International Criminal Court, the role of Islamic jurisprudence in the contemporary conflict resolution and other legal and humanitarian matters.
