Gaza: A Palestinian was killed Saturday and others were wounded after an Israeli drone attacked a group of people on Al-Aqsa Martyrs Street in Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, according to a source in the Palestinian ambulance and emergency services.
Meanwhile, the death toll from Israel's military campaign in the Gaza enclave since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 72,819, while the number of injured has climbed to 172,894.
The total number of people killed since the ceasefire took effect on Oct. 11 has reached 922, with 2,786 others injured and 781 bodies pulled from the rubble.
However, several victims languish under bombed-out buildings and on the streets, as paramedics and rescuers have thus far been impotent to reach them.
The Israeli occupation forces continue to breach the ceasefire accord through unleashing further assassination operations and artillery shelling, as well as intense salvos of fire across multiple parts of the enclave.
