Moscow: A Russian serviceman was killed and five others were injured Tuesday when their transport plane crash landed and caught fire after a training flight near the central city of Saratov, authorities said.
In a statement, Russia's defense ministry said the incident, could have been caused by failure of one of the engines of the plane, an Antonov AN-26.
The statement said that the cause of the accident might have been a malfunction in the engine of the plane, saying that an investigation will be needed.
