Doha: The weather forecast for Qatar valid until 6:00 pm Saturday inshore will be hot during the day with slight dust and partly cloudy to cloudy with a chance of scattered rain, maybe thundery at places at times. Offshore, the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy with a chance of scattered rain at times, thundery at places.
The Department of Meteorology warned of expected thundery rain associated with strong wind at places inshore, and expected strong wind and high seas due to thunder activity offshore.
Wind speed inshore will be northeasterly to northwesterly 08 to 18 knots reaching 28 knots at places at times, while offshore it will be northeasterly to northeasterly to northwesterly 05 to 15 knots reaching 20 to 27 knots near thundery rain.
Visibility will be 4 to 8/3 kilometers or less during thunder rain. The sea state inshore will be between 1 to 2 feet, offshore will be 2 to 4 /5 feet reaching 7 feet near thunder, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily report.
