DOHA: The World Economic Forum in partnership with the Qatari Businessmen Association and Social Economic Survey Research Institute in Qatar University has announced the launch of the Executive Opinion Survey 2014 in Qatar.
The Executive Opinion Survey, “The Voice of the Business Community” is a major component of The Global Competitiveness Report and provides the key ingredient that turns the report into a representative measure of a nation’s economic environment and its ability to achieve sustained growth. The survey gathers information on a broad range of variables for which hard data sources are scarce or nonexistent. Qatar led the Arabic world and the Middle Eastern countries to rank 13th on the Global Competitiveness Index that was declared in the WEF report for 2013. The Report has been the WEF’s flagship publication since 1979 and is widely recognised as the world’s leading cross-country comparison of factors affecting economic competitiveness and growth.
