Jeddah: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held talks with his brother, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, on the latest regional and international developments, as well as ongoing efforts to de-escalate tensions and enhance security and stability in the region.
During the meeting, which was held today, March 30, 2026, in Jeddah, both sides reviewed efforts to contain escalating tensions amid the rapid developments in the region and the continued Iranian aggression, and the challenges it poses to regional and international security and stability, including its implications for global energy supplies and market stability.
His Highness the Amir and His Royal Highness the Saudi Crown Prince also exchanged views on key issues of mutual interest, affirming the importance of continued coordination and consultation on various developments, reflecting the depth of the fraternal and strategic relations between the two brotherly countries.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, Chief of the Amiri Diwan HE Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, and a number of senior officials.
From the Saudi side, it was attended by Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, HRH Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers and National Security Adviser HE Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al Aiban, along with a number of senior officials.
