Jeddah, Saudi Arabia: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and HM King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, held a trilateral meeting.
During the meeting, they reviewed the latest regional and international developments and the efforts being made to de-escalate tensions and enhance security and stability in the region.
The leaders discussed efforts to contain tensions in light of the rapidly evolving situation in the region and the continued Iranian aggression, which poses challenges to regional and international security and stability, including its repercussions on global energy supplies and market stability.
HH the Amir, HRH the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, and HM the King of Jordan also exchanged views on key issues of common interest, emphasizing the importance of continued close coordination and consultation regarding various developments, in a way that reflects the depth of the fraternal and strategic relations that bind the sister countries, and that enhances common interests.
The leaders stressed the need to unify efforts and coordinate positions to confront current challenges, thereby contributing to the preservation of the region's security and stability, and safeguarding the sovereignty of its states and the interests of its peoples.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani; Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani; Chief of the Amiri Diwan HE Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi; and a number of other senior officials.
From the Saudi side, the meeting was attended by Deputy Governor of Makkah Region HRH Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud; Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet, and National Security Advisor HE Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al Aiban; and a number of other senior officials.
From the Jordanian side, the meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates HE Ayman Safadi; and a number of other senior officials.
