Doha: To complete Al Thumama Junction, which is part of the E-Ring and Najma roads development project, and lay the final asphalt layer, the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) will implement a temporary traffic diversion at Al Thumama Junction.
The diversion will be implemented in eight phases to minimise the impact on traffic in the area.
The first phase starts tomorrow after midnight and lasts until 5am on Saturday.
The remaining seven phases will be carried out during the following seven weekends, each from Thursday midnight to 5am on Saturday.
It is anticipated that the last phase will be completed by May 21.
During each phase, only part of the junction will be closed and signage will be installed to indicate the closed and the open parts of the road as shown in the map.
The exception will be the last phase, which will require the full closure of the junction for two days.
Ashghal will install signs to advise motorists of the diversion and has urged road users to abide by speed limits and follow signs for their and others’ safety. The Peninsula
