DOHA: Sheikh Thani Bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) has launched a guide on how to raise donations for charity projects.
The guide was released during a seminar yesterday.
RAF also announced an annual forum to provide a platform to the public and private sectors to share ideas with charity organisations and finance projects to serve the local community.
The guide ‘Muzn-2016’ (clouds) is meant to implement development projects for the needy people in fragile countries. “Muzn means clouds carrying rains, the guide has been named after it because both are useful and needed for human beings,” said Dr Ayed bin Dabssan Al Qahtani, Chairman, Board of Trustees and General Director, RAF. The event was attended by Sheikh Abdullah bin Thani Al Thani, Deputy Chairman, Board of Directors, RAF, representatives of ministries, other government organisations and private companies.
RAF has also launched an annual forum RAF Tabtakir Min Liajle Qatar (RAF innovates for Qatar) to discuss innovative ideas to serve the local communities, said Dr Ayed Al Qahtani.
The forum will be a platform to bring together people from different backgrounds to discuss issues related to sustainable development.
It will also help establish relations between development and innovation, said Al Qahtani. “I hope that the forum would come out with recommendations on strategic projects to supports Qatar and its people,” he said.
Participants were asked to give ideas and suggestions to launch innovative projects to serve the local community.The Peninsula
