DOHA: Vodafone Qatar’s total revenue for the nine months ended in December 2013 reached QR1.43bn, up 31 percent compared to the same period last year. The company recorded a 27 percent increase in the total number of mobile customers, compared to a year ago.
Mobile average revenue per user (ARPU) increased to QR 125, a 3.6 percent growth year-on-year. The company’s Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) reached QR344m, an 89 percent improvement year-on-year. The distributable profits reached QR89m, compared to minus QR 25mn for the same period last year.
Vodafone Qatar Chairman, Sheikh DR Khalid Bin Thani Al Thani commented: “Generating positive Distributable Profits is a key target of ours and should give shareholders confidence, that the business is moving in the right direction.”
