MES students win prizes in play and poetry contests

Doha: The MES Indian School students put up an outstanding performance in a competition conducted to celebrate Gandhi Jayanthi and Hindi Pakhwara -2020 by North Indian Association in collaboration with the Indian Embassy in Qatar recently.

In a competition that witnessed an enormous number of contestants from Indian schools across Qatar, MES Indian school participants performed significantly. They won prizes under different categories ‘viz, Ekanki Natak’ (One-act play) and Swarachith Kavita (self -written poem).

Anam Suhail of Grade IV B secured the first position, and Safa Shekh of Grade IV H won the third position in a self-written poem in the Junior Category. In the One-Act play, Anam Suhail of Grade IV B and Izza Mariam of Grade II D won the third and fourth positions, respectively. 

Ayana Sameer of VIII L secured the third prize in the self-written poem.

The winners were awarded trophies and certificates, and participating students were awarded certificates. The winners were complimented by the school Principal, Hameeda Kadar, and the Heads of Sections for their outstanding efforts and achievements.
