Dr G Madhavan Nair (pictured), former Chairman of Indian Space Research Organisation, (ISRO) and a noted scientist will be the Chief Guest at a function convened to felicitate the winners of the SastraPratibha Contest 2013 organised by Samanvayam.
Along with Dr G Madhavan Nair, Dr Thomas Zacharia, Executive Vice President of the Research & Development Division, Qatar Foundation, will be Guest of Honour of the valedictory function.
The SasthraPrathibha Contest (SPC) 2013, a science aptitude test conducted by Samanvayam, an Indian Cultural Center affiliated organisation, was held at the Birla Public School in April and has seven students from Indian schools in Qatar selected as SastraPratibhas.
They will be presented with their awards at a function to be held on November 2 at the MES Indian School. The function will start at 6pm.
Along with the seven toppers, seventy five other students will also get certificates according to their performance in the contest.
For the contest, MES Indian School secured the highest points and Birla Public School secured the second position.
