Ideal Indian School Teachers during the orientation programme.
Doha, Qatar: Ideal Indian School conducted a comprehensive Teachers’ Orientation Programme recently. The session commenced with an inauguration by President of the school Dr. Hassan Kunhi MP who underscored his commitment to the professional development of the teaching staff.
Kunhi engaged in insightful discussions with the teachers, addressing and resolving their queries. There was also a session during which the staff members who had just returned from the summer break shared their experiences during the vacation.
The Principal Shaik Shamim Saheb, addressed the faculty on the topic: “Discovering One’s Potential as a Teacher.” In the session, the Principal discussed the attributes of a good teacher and the intersection of technology and education.
The second session was presented by Vice Principal of the Boys’ Section Ashok Kumar Tiwari on the topic: “Understanding and Developing High Self-esteem for Confidence Building in Learners.”
The focus was on the role of teachers in building high self-confidence in students. On the second day, Vice-Principal of the Junior Section Azam Khan highlighted the elements of teamwork in education, strategies to overcome challenges, and the role of leadership in fostering teamwork through the topic: “Together Everyone Achieves More.”
In the later session, Vice-Principal of the Girls’ Section Dr. Nazima Bi presented the topic: “Cooperation — Effective Methods to Elicit Cooperation from Children in the Classroom.”
All the sessions were interactive, and the participation of teachers contributed to a lively and effective response. The programme was coordinated by Headmistress of the Girls’ Section Khatija T C.
AHM of the Boys’ Section Sajid Shamim was the moderator for the first day and AHM of the Junior Section Shyla Jose moderated the sessions held on the second day. The programme served as a refresher for classroom implementation as the school reopened after the summer break.
