Doha: Kuwait’s Emir H H Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah yesterday met Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani at Bayan Palace in capital Kuwait City.
The Premier conveyed to Sheikh Sabah greetings and best wishes of Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and wishes of further progress and prosperity to the brotherly Kuwaiti people.
Sheikh Sabah entrusted the Premier with his greetings and wishes to H H the Emir and wishes of further growth and prosperity to the Qatari people.
Talks dealt with fraternal relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them.
Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, ministers and the Premier’s delegation were present.
The Premier also met his counterpart Sheikh Jaber Al Mubarak Al Hamad Al Sabah in Bayan Palace and reviewed brotherly relations between both countries and means of enhancing them. The Premier’s delegation and Kuwaiti ministers were present.
The Premier held a separate meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Mohammad Al Khalid Al Hamad Al Sabah at the Interior Ministry.
Talks dealt with cooperation and means of enhancing it, especially in the field of joint security.
The Premier’s delegation and several Kuwaiti ministers were present.
The Premier attended a luncheon banquet hosted in his and his delegation honour by the Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister at the ministry. Several Kuwaiti ministers and officials were present.
The Premier arrived in Kuwait on an official visit. He and his delegation were welcomed at Kuwait International Airport by First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al Khalid Al Hamad Al Sabah, the Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, Qatari Ambassador to Kuwait Hamad bin Ali Al Henzab and other officials.
Later, the Premier and his delegation returned to Doha. They were seen off by the Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, the Qatari Ambassador and other officials at the airport.
