Database to enhance services for people with special needs

DOHA: The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs has developed a database on people with difficulties and special needs to enhance services for them.
According to the database, more than 10,000 people with special needs are in the country, Al Sharq reports. 
The database includes details such the type of difficulties each person has, reasons, these people’s national identity card numbers, special identity card numbers, rehabilitation services they have received and what they would require in the future. 
The database also contains information about employers who provide job opportunities for people with special needs, and vacancies available for them. Data will to used to find out whether employees are providing required facilities for such staff. Data will also be used to analyse how employment has helped improve the lives of people with special needs.
