Accepting applications for scholarship begins

Doha: Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs has announced that it has begun receiving applications for government scholarships for the academic year 2016/17. Scholarships cover wide range of areas of specialisation including engineering, environment, transport and aviation, technology, media and combination, health, culture, tourism and sports, economy, investment and finance, in addition other areas such as language, law, accounting, planning and other specialisations.
Beneficiaries must be Qatari, or born to Qatari mothers or holders of Qatari documents and not more than 23 years old.
Although the scholarships are provided by the government but applicants must not be government or private sector employee and their certificate should be more than five years old at the time of applying for the scholarships.
The ministry pointed out in its account that scholarships will be limited to areas required by different government bodies and interested Qataris could apply online at the ministry’s website.
