Shanghai - Chinese shares plunged 3.83 percent on Friday morning, extending its heavy losses after a 6.5 percent plunge the previous day on worries over tighter requirements for margin trading, dealers said.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 177.02 points to 4,443.25.
The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, sank 3.88 percent, or 107.05 points, to 2,649.88.
