Alfardan Sports Motors has launched the new F12berlinetta at the 2013 Qatar Motor Show. The sleek beauty has already developed a buzz among the car lovers in the country. According to officials there is already a long waiting list for this most powerful and high-performance road-going Ferrari ever.
Sporting a new V12 engine, the F12berlinetta’s aerodynamics has also been honed to the extreme in an innovative design that redefines classic Ferrari themes.
Shorter, lower and narrower than the previous V12 coupé, F12berlinetta costs over a million (QR1.3m-QR1.7m) and is one of the most anticipated Ferrari.
The wheelbase is shorter and its engine, dashboard and seats are lower in the chassis. A new suspension and gearbox layout helped reduce the car’s rear volume. This helps to make it shorter, lower and narrower. The F12berlinetta boasts ideal weight distribution (54% over the rear axle) as well as a lower centre of gravity that is further back in the chassis.
The F12berlinetta’s spaceframe chassis and bodyshell now incorporate no less than 12 different aluminium alloys, some of which have been used for the first time in the automotive sector. New assembly and joining technologies were also adopted in its construction. This has allowed the car’s overall weight to be kept to just 1525 kg and has maximised its performance efficiency with torsional rigidity boosted by 20 per cent.
With a Fiorano lap time of just 1’23’’, 0-100km/h acceleration in 3.1 seconds and 0-200 km/h in 8.5s, the F12berlinetta is the most high-performance road car in Ferrari history.
Sharing the spot light with the F12berlinetta, Alfardan Sports Motors displayed the Ferrari “FF” at their stand in the Qatar Motor Show. The FF is the company’s most powerful, versatile four-seater ever, as well as its first ever four-wheel drive.
The FF - an acronym for Ferrari Four (four seats and four-wheel drive) - ushers in an entirely new GT sports car concept.
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Doha presented the Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupé Aviator Collection at the 2013 Qatar Motor Show. The collection is inspired by Charles Stewart Rolls, one of the founders of the company, and the legend of the Schneider Trophy-winning Supermarine S6B, which was powered by a Rolls-Royce R Type engine. The collection celebrates the spirit of human endeavour that drove a British hero and subsequently led Rolls-Royce to simultaneous world speed records on land, air and in the water.
The first in the collection of 35 Phantom Coupé Aviator Collection models debuted at the third edition of Qatar Motor Show being held at Doha Exhibition Centre.
“The founding forefather Sir Charles Stewart Rolls was a pioneer who pushed the boundaries of motoring and aviation to the limit, and we celebrate his memory with the launch of the exclusive Phantom Coupé Aviator Collection,” said Mohammad Kandeel, General Manager of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Doha. “The cars hint at experiments in early flight married to the best engineering, modern design and exquisitely crafted materials. The collection takes Rolls-Royce Bespoke to new levels of subtle, yet beautiful detailing.”
Finished in Aviator Grey, the Phantom Coupé Aviator Collection features a contrasting matt bonnet, window and grille surround while inside, the interplay of wood and metal hint strongly at a cockpit theme. A Thommen, aviation-grade clock with blood orange needle tips is embedded in the metal foil upper fascia, complemented by matt black dials for power reserve, speedometer and fuel gauges.
The leather-lined glove compartment includes an embossed Charles Rolls quote following his first flight with the Wright Brothers in 1908: “The power of flight is as a fresh gift from the Creator, the greatest treasure yet given to man.”
Phantom Coupé Aviator Collection models are now available for client orders from Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Doha.
A flagship of the Maserati product range, the new Quattroporte is larger, lighter, more luxurious and faster than the globally-acclaimed car it replaces.
The sixth-generation Quattroporte is a leap forward that not only sets the high-technology tone for Maserati’s upcoming range of new-models, but also remains faithful to Maserati’s long history of luxury sports sedans.
The Quattroporte will be followed by Ghibli and the Levant luxury SUV entering key growth segments for the luxury brand.
At the press conference, Umberto Cini, Managing Director for Maserati Overseas Markets, commented: “50 years ago we took a revolutionary step when we successfully put a Maserati racing engine inside the body of a sedan; this idea not only changed our brand but brought a new segment of the industry to life.”
Commenting on the arrival of the new Maserati Quattroporte, Mohamed Kandeel, General Manager, Alfardan Sports Motors said that “we are honoured at Alfardan Sports Motors to introduce the all-new Maserati Quattroporte for the first time in the Middle East.”
Timed to coincide with the launch of the new Quattroporte at the Detroit Motorshow, Maserati now has a fresh web identity thanks to the presentation of the new official Maserati.com website.
