The French Ambassador, Jean-Christophe Peaucelle, visited the Total Research Centre in Qatar Science and Technology Park recently.
The ambassador met Total’s Managing Director Stephane Michel, the Strategic Research Director of QSTP, Lucio Rispo, as well as the Director of Total Research Centre in Qatar, Philippe Julien, and other Total staff.
“I am very pleased to see the many initiatives taken at the Total Research Centre in the development of new technologies as well as in human development by training Qatari and International students and professionals” said Peaucelle. “As Qatar has taken a tremendous stride towards a ‘knowledge-based economy’, research and development is essential to secure growth, as well as social and environmental development. I am proud to see how French companies and institutions contribute to supporting Qatar towards its aspiration to become an active centre in the fields of scientific research and intellectual activity”.
