Qatar University (QU) has recently appointed 20 physicians and healthcare experts from leading health care organisations in Qatar as clinical faculty and clerkship directors at its College of Medicine (CMED).
The appointees, 5 of them are Qatari, will join the college from organisations in Qatar such as HMC, PHCC, Ministry of Public Health, and Sidra, as well as Charles Clinic and Institute of Dermatology at University College Dublin, Ireland.
Important clinical appointments include Dr Abdullatif Al Khal (who is also the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs at the College) for infectious diseases, Dr Ibrahim Janahi in paediatric pulmonology, Dr Al Hareth M Al Khater to support curriculum development, and Dr Mohammed Al Otaibi for family medicine.
