The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) announced the opening of the third centre for Breast and Bowel Cancer Screening at Rawdat Alkhail Health Centre.
In 2016 PHCC opened two similar centres at Leabaib and Al Wakrah Health Centres, in addition to a mobile screening unit that is visiting various health centres and organisations throughout the year.
PHCC Managing Director Dr Mariam Ali Abdulmalik said that the opening of three screening centres within 11 months serves as a testament to the significant achievements of the 'Screen for Life' programme this year, which in turn serves realising the strategic expansion objectives PHCC at the operational and services levels.
