Doha: Ooredoo yesterday congratulated Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) and the 38 athletes of Team Qatar for their achievements at Rio 2016 Summer Olympics
As part of the company’s commitment to encourage people to live more healthy and active lifestyles, Ooredoo is a national sponsor of QOC and supported initiatives during the Olympic Games, including the charity ‘Legendary Match.’
The match involved top football players in a special match at QOC’s Bayt Qatar, organised by QOC and supported by Ooredoo to raise awareness about ‘Save the Dream’, the official charity of Doha-based International Centre for Sport Security (ICSS).
Ooredoo was one of QOC’s most active partners during the games, promoting Qatar’s presence with social media posts that were read by close to 800,000 people.
Ooredoo’s collaboration with QOC includes support for all Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) events, FINA/Airweave Swimming World Cup and Artistic Gymnastics World Cup Series to be held next year.
