Doha: The National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) will organise an ‘Islam and Human Rights’ exhibition’ and other events at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of Council of Arab Interior Ministers, in Tunis in March next year.
NHRC said “The security challenges and human rights in the Arab region’ conference in Doha in 2014 had received considerable attention from the general secretariat.
Jaber Al Huwail, Director, Legal Affairs, NHRC, praised the committee’s participation as an observer in a recent second conference of human rights officials at Arab interior ministries in Tunis.
He said this forum is held annually by the council to follow up recommendations of the International Conference on security and human rights challenges, held in Doha.
