DOHA: The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has provided tips for people who are planning to go on road trips for their safety and to avoid any delay.
Among these tips are: Confirm the validity of official documents that you carry such as driver’s license, car ownership card and passport and keep it in a safe place while travelling, the Ministry of Interior said on official facebook account.
It is important also to ensure the condition of your vehicle by conducting a comprehensive technical test before starting your trip. Check the validity and safety standard of your vehicle’s tires and replace it if needed.
Overloading the vehicle exposes you to the danger and threatens the lives of others. It also leads to disruption of the vehicle and accidents and impedes the driver’s vision and freedom of movement.
Keep enough distance between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you. Stick to speed limit and fasten your seat belt.
If you feel drowsy, immediately stop your vehicle and proceed your journey only after giving yourself some rest. Then, continue your traveling peacefully and safely and avoid driving during the late hours of the night as much as possible.
