DOHA: The Advisory Council yesterday convened its weekly regular meeting under the chairmanship of the Speaker of the Advisory Council H E Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khulaifi.
The Council discussed a draft law amending some provisions of Decree Law No. 15 of 2007 regulating the Marketing and Sale of Government-regulated products outside Qatar, and decided to submit its recommendations thereon to the Council of Ministers.
The Council also reviewed a draft law on the State Audit Bureau, and decided to refer it to the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee to study and report on it.
The Council discussed a report by the Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee in relation to a draft law on the official gazette, and decided to submit its recommendations thereon to the Council of Ministers.
The Secretary-General of the Advisory Council Fahad bin Mubarak Al Khayareen read out the agenda which was agreed upon. Then, the Council endorsed the minutes of its previous session.
Earlier, the Advisory Council’s Financial and Economic Affairs Committee held a meeting yesterday, chaired by its rapporteur Mohamed Ajaj Al Kubaisi. The meeting discussed a draft law on the State Audit Bureau.
It was attended by deputy head of the State Audit Bureau Abdulaziz Al Emadi and legal advisor at State Audit Bureau Khalid Mansour Al Khater, who presented the State Audit Bureau’s view on the draft law and answered questions raised by members of the Committee.
The Committee decided to present its report on the draft law to the Advisory Council.
