London---Who's saying what at Wimbledon on Saturday's media day: "I've always enjoyed watching him. Playing against him has been cool at times, not always so much fun. A feisty competitor, one of the toughest I always had to play against."
- Roger Federer on Lleyton Hewitt, the 2002 Wimbledon champion who is appearing at the All England Club for the last time before retirement.
"Waffles. I was a bit annoyed because somebody said I should have named her Katniss. Katniss, Hunger Games. I was in this frame of mind where I thought Waffles was so smart that she already knew her name after two days, so I couldn't change it. So Waffles Katniss Robson."
- Britain's Laura Robson going slightly off-message.
"I have a dance team, a competitive dance team!"
- Serena Williams explains why she and three pals made a video of themselves singing and dancing to "So Long, Farewell" from the "The Sound of Music" as motivation for Wimbledon.
"I think it's a fun story, for sure. I think it was great that I won the French Open, because at least it's a positive story for my shorts. But that's it. Now we back to normal, back to all white."
- French Open champion Stan Wawrinka on his now famous, if garish, red and white plaid shorts which became a hit at Roland Garros.
"I love to look good for you guys. I got my hair curled and everything."
- Maria Sharapova on her well-groomed appearance on media day -- she explained she had just finished a photo-shoot before facing the media.
"I play golf."
- Rafael Nadal on how he prepared for Wimbledon.
