EU expands cultural ties with Qatar

DOHA: The founding charter of European Union National Institutes of Culture (EUNIC) cluster in Qatar was signed at the Netherlands Embassy. The charter was signed by Qatar and European Union member states with embassies in Qatar including Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden and the Netherlands, as well as the British Council and the French Institute. The signing ceremony was attended by a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the state of Qatar and Faleh Al Ajlan Al Hajri, Director of the Culture and Arts department.
