A special assembly was organised by the students of Noble International School recently to mark Earth Day. An interesting and creative aspect of environmental awareness was displayed by students of Grade V, who shared information about the importance of Earth Day and how earth is polluted by various human activities. The assembly proceeded with Pradap Felix, principal, enlightening the students about the importance of the day and how we should keep our surroundings clean and tidy. Sheeja Basheer, teacher, presented valuable thoughts to the students on protecting the environment and preserving the planet for future generations to live in. As a part of honouring earth on this special day, the children later planted saplings.
Students of Grade VI prepared a model of earth to spread the message that renovation is must for earth and it is we who have to do it.
In an effort to inspire awareness and appreciation of the earth’s environment, the students of lower grades were involved in various motivational activities like making greeting cards, posters, an extinct animals album and placards which enlightened them on the values of reducing, reusing and recycling.
