Scouts from Ideal Indian School (IIS) participated in a beach clean-up drive at Al Wakra beach recently. Some 40 scout volunteers took part in the activity and about 60 bags of garbage were collected from the area. The students were involved in the drive as part of Earth Day celebrations, and sent an important message on the necessity of preserving a clean environment. The coordinator for the school Scouts and Guides unit, Vijayant Thapa, and head of physical education, Mohammed Noufal, led the scouts.
